The intenet,a wonderful tool indeed.

Yes I have never been so gratefull to have the internet at my easy reach. Even as I'm walking down here I get a little excited as I have another chance to touch base with you all back home. I hope I'm not starting to bore you to tears but for me being a people person not having anyone else to talk too gets to me a little. Don't get me wrong Debbie and I have never talked so much to one another and this is all good but when your me and your used to speaking to people whether you know them or not, just to strike up conversation it becomes a little frustrating. Anyway I tend to use this platform as my way to get some of my talking vented.
As far as the day , things are going along fine. Today for the first time when school got out Nastya came out and gave us both a kiss and an embrace. It all seemed pretty natural today but we know this is real progress.I think for me to get out for an hour or so in the evenings gives mother and daughter time alone to do their own bonding. I think that this is very important as Debbie will be spending more time with her once we are home and for them to be close is very important I believe. I can really see the difference she is having towards me and I like it alot. I admit in the beginning It wasn't easy but now there are lots of laughs and playtime for all. I think our Nastya will pick up her english very quickly and by the time fall rolls around she should really be in the swing of things. Her and I have one thing very much in common, we both like to tease. I think I've met my match with this little one, as she always tries to stay just one ahead of me all the time. As they say , let the good times role. For now we just wait until our court date and move on from there. I must say we have really settled in and right now things are going along just fine.
Thanks for the update mom, Roy and thanks for stopping by Cliff. Keep us updated on Simone Roy , trust and pray it'll be ok for her. She isn't pregnant is she???. Seriously give her our love and best wishes. We'll be back at you again soon, Randy

We've been out of touch the last few days because our computer died - looks like a virus maybe just hoping that all our material is not lost - pictures, data bases, banking logs, contact lists, my BSF lectures and of course, Dave's golf logs! This will teach us to back up everything! We have managed to hook up an old computer and get connected, but this is a temporary thing. Hopefully our computer techy friend can fix it for us.
I'm been crazy wondering about what's going on with you guys. Dave has been out of the office at a conference and I couldn't use him to look things up at work and report back to me and I couldn't remember your blog site to go to a neighbors.

So happy to hear you are making connections with your little one. (I'm confused what to call her; Nastya, Anastasia, Nadya) I have a picture of her in my mind's eye and I can't wait to see how close I am.

Got a lovely letter today from R. B. Cunningham enclosing the article on Ryan in the Chronicle Herald.

Heard from Dave (guess he read it somewhere in this blog) that Ryan is performing for the East Coast Music Awards! We are so excited for him.

Glad to hear that you may be able to stop on your way back - the girls are psyched!!! Just forward flight details when you have them and the silver bullet will be anxiously awaiting at Pearson for you.

Love to all,
Laura

Sounds like things are going well for you all there. Must be thrilling to have your new little daughter teaching you Russian. Do you ever have to tell Lesya to slow down when she talks to you? Have you eaten shash lyeek (sp?)yet? mmmmm Does her orphanage reek of cabbage and borsht? :-)

Haiti? Someone has been to Haiti? Sorry to use your blog for my personal interst, Randy and Debbbie, but I spent 6 yrs in Haiti as a kid. My parents were missionaries there. Actually my parents are there now again for the winter. They live just an hour east of Port. email me if you'd like. ktaves1967@afo.net
