All is well on daddys shoulders!

Again thanks so much for the comments from home. Thanks to Scott and Mel for keeping an eye on the house and all, it means alot. Thanks to mom and dad as always for being there in our corner. To Barb and Donnie, thanks for the huge vote of confidence. To Jill for being there for us , and Sandra for all the prayer support, and keeping folks posted for us. On the positive side we have established our contact with Nastya once again but at first seeing us today I was worried as she just kind of ignored us. We weren't setting ourselves up for a big reunion as we new she had been through a couple of rough days. I had a sinking feeling that we were back at square one but that wasn't the case at all. After an hour or so I noticed one of those big toothless grins leaked out. It may have been by accident but I was all over it soon to have her laughing and warming up to us. At this point it seems as if this has been a test of the bonding that has taken place over the past couple of weeks or so. The real proof for me came on the way back to the apartment from the grocery store. About half way back she quickly moved in front of me and tried to stop me in my tracks. I knew what this meant right away. She wanted a shoulder ride and even though we had a couple of bags of groceries to contend with , it was if she was saying to me,(OK Daddy lets see if your going to be strong enough to carry when the tough times come.)Well with that thought up she went, at one point I felt I was carrying dead weight. No wonder she had fallen asleep for a brief moment. It all kind of reminded me that this is a true picture of resting in the Fathers Arms, without a care or a worry. There is a quote from the word that says we are to cast our care upon Him because He cares for us, how true it is. As far as court is concerned we may have the ear of the judge once again and there is some talk that we may have a date early next week??, we hope so. For now more bonding time and having Nastya feeling secure is all that matters . If it means we are in the country a few extra days then so be it. We have come to far not to see this through besides we have fallen in love with a little Ukranian girl and can't leave here without her.
Take care all, love Randy and Debbie.

It was great to get your update and to know you have Nastya with you again. That is good news and we will keep praying for a quick court date.

Allie's favorite saying these days is "When you're down to nothing; God is up to something". I'm sure this is exactly what's going on. God is putting His plan for you and Nastya into action on His time. It's a hard lesson we have to learn over and over. Our timing seems so right; but God's timing is always perfect. These extra days in Ukraine may well turn out to be a blessing - more bonding and trusting time together can't be a bad thing.

As I read you analogy of "resting in the Father's arms"; I was once again reminded of all you two are doing. Responding in such Christ-like behavior; what an example you are to Nastya and all of us who are following your adventure.

After reading your earlier posting today; I sent out a request for support to some of my "prayer warriors" in Fredericton NB, Oakville ON and Wolfville NS. Technology is such a wonderful thing! We get to hear of what's going on with you, albeit 7 hours in time difference, and we get to respond in prayer. Fortunately, there is no time or language barrier as far as God is concerned - this is all in His hands. If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it!

Praying unceasingly,
Laura
