My Day!

I just want to tell you its been an uneventfull day but it almost wasn't. For me I was up a little earlier than usual. The sun was shining in our apartment window and I thought to myself I just have to go for a run. I've only been able to get 3 runs in since being here and even though the conditions under footwere not going to be good I went anyway. For the most part I ran right along the road because the sidewalks were too icy. Anyway as it tuned out I headed in a new direction and tried to get away from the main flow. I soon realized that I had made a very good choice and things were looking a little more countryfied. I looked ahead and it was the nicest sight I could have asked for, A long path heading straight away from everything. It was awesome, and I never saw a vehicle or a single person. I would say the path may have been about 2 klm's long and made a very nice addition to my am run. I was carefull not to lose my sence of direction marking a few land marks along the way. I got back to the apartment just fine and I had one of those runner's high moments and was very pleased with mtself. My day was off and running (no pun intended). After a nice hot bath I was ready to hit the road. Debbie , Nastya and I headed out for a walk.
Now for the rest of the story, as the man says. Just before heading out Debbie handed me 4 hundred U.S.dollars which I put away in a seperate pocket away from the local money which we use day to day. After being out about an hour or so I just checked my pockets to make sure that all moneys were in good order, which I have a habit of doing every so often. You guessed it, the U.S money wasn't where it was supposed to be??, I asked Debbie right away if she gave me the money earlier , she said she did. Anyway a little panic was settig in. At that point I was racking my mind trying to figure where this money was??. Back we went to the apartment we went, the whole time trying to remember the exchange of money earlier at the apartment. Once we got there We proceded to head up the elevator. Debbie suggested that I ought to take the stairwell as thats the way I had come down. I said to her , ya like its just going to be laying there on the stairwell waiting for me. I wasn't even going to bother but decided to let Debbie and Nastya go up the elevator and I would head up the stairwell. Our apartment is on the 8th floor so I quickly ran up just glancing as I went along. I got to the 6th floor and looked down and , I couldn't believe my eyes, there was the money just laying there, folded over once and in plane sight. We were gone a total of 2 hours, When I got to the 8th floor Debbie said it looked as if I had seen a ghost. I must admit I couldn't believe what had just happened. The very first thing out of my mouth was thankyou Jesus and I'm not kidding. Now the only thing that I can figure is when we made the sudden exchange of money in the doorway at the apart I tucked the money in my pocket but it must have only got part way, because at the same moment Nastya had run ahead of me down the stairs. In a rush to catch up with her the money hit the stairwell.
All I can say is it was quite a relief to recover the money. It wouldn't have ruined the trip but it would have ruined the day for sure. To think that that amount of money here represents a month or so's wages it would have been quite a find. Anyway all is well. Just had to share that little story with you all, Thake care till tomorrow, Randy

Hi guys

Sounds like you are having quite an adventure. Debbie, have I not always called you Gracie? Some things never change. We saw the pictures you sent, she is sweet! We can't wait to meet her in person. Hey Randy, my Randy wants to know if you have 400$ he can borrow, he heard you were just throwing your money away! Nathan has settled in quite well and you are right, you will not get him away from Shane without a fight.
As much as we are enjoying your blog it does not compare to the real thing so when are you coming home? We miss you guys, much!!!

Randy, It is so good to hear of your adventures and I am so glad there was an angel in that stairwell watching out over you money.

Just catching up and I was so touched by her treasure under her pillow. All this talk about you singing though - we sat BEHIND you in church for a reason! Just kidding - but I was thinking that some Ukrainian or Russian dancing would be far more entertaining especially with all your "gymnastic" events there limbering you up.
Think of and pray for you often!
