It's been a fun and busy day for us. We were up early and left for church at 7:30,I,m not sure how long the service is, people come and go all through. We were there about an hour and a half. We left there and went to Mcdonalds, they have good cappuchino. We got tickets and went to the circus at noon. It was great, lots of acrobatics, dog tricks horses, lions etc, everything is done very dramatically and accompanied by an orchastra. The clown seemed to have a thing for Randy and had him in the ring three times in all. We felt like we were with a celebrity when we left. The pay wasn't that good he only got a free flag, Ha ha, otherwise I'd put him to work for the remainder of our stay.
We are going to see the Judge tomorrow to request a court date. We are praying it will be this week and than just the ten day wait and a couple of days of paperwork and we will be heading home.
I mentioned in a post about it being strange that not many kids were being adopted from this orphanage. On Friday we were waiting at school for Nastya to complete a project and some of the teens gathered around to talk to us. One boy had been to Florida on a hosting trip last summer and his English was very good so he translated for the other kids. They were telling us that they had recently been given the oportunity to register themselves to be adopted. So some of them are hoping to be adopted. This boy had been in this orphanage for 2 years and had spent 8 years in another orphanage. He is 15 now and once he turns 16 he isn't eligible for adoption anymore. He said he had an wonderful time in Florida for a month, he's bringing some pictures to show us Monday. He seems very smart and said he will be able to go to college if he doesn't get adopted.
There are at least 2 or 3 girls and a couple of boys that I would just love to smuggle out of there, hopefully we will be able to keep contact with the orphanage when we leave.
Anyway thanks for the comments, Randy does have a couple of money belts, just wasn't using them at the time. We are staying clear of all manholes and ice patches as well. Randys wounds are healing and I hit the advil bottle today to give my back spasms a bit of relief. Actually my back has been quite good so I not complaining.
Well it's time to go for a bit of pizza and then home for another episode of Greys Anatomy (we are rationing them out)to get us through the next couple of weeks. Next we'll be down to Russian fairy tales.
Great talking to you Kelly.
Randy is in mourning because he can't watch the superbowl. Enjoy everyone and send him news of the highlights tomorrow.
G'nite all,
Debbie
