A new week begins!

First of all thanks for all the comments, Sam (with all the good news), Kelly,Julia, mom and Don with the Super bowl-score. I had a feeling it was Indy's time, their too great a team to be kept off the superbowl podium.
Well last night was a little bit of a testor as Nastya had a melt -down. I guess the day was too much of a good thing and in the end she was reluctant to go to bed. She was watching a favorite cartoon on the dvd,and it was time to shut it down. Not without a fight I must say. She cried herself to sleep after about an hour. I guess we kind of learned a lesson ouselves with this one, we'll be a little more careful in the future not planning to much. I realize she's still a little girl and these moments may come from time to time. All we can do is be a bit more aware of the events of the day and make it a little more balanced I suppose. She got up this am seeming well rested and ready for the day so lets begin a new week.
We delt with some paperwork issues this am and hopefully we are still on target to get to court this week, lets hope. Our days are pretty much a routine these days. I kind of had a few extra thoughts of home this am and certainly do look forward to coming home. We hope things work out this week as we still would like to be able to go to Odessa this weekend, we'll just have to wait and see. This whole waiting game will either develope a new threshold of patience or drive you over the edge. I really think the former has happened so far, time will tell??
Well I'll shut it down for now. I'm glad to here Nathan is finding his grove as it sounds like he's really finding his game. Give him my best as well as all the rest.
As well sis, I did figure the puzzle out to be you, keep commenting. We love to read the comments, they really make our day here. Lots of love and best wishes to all, Randy

Ps We just got a call from our translator, Natasha, she says we may be going to court on Wednesday.Yeah! Natasha will be arriving on the train tomorrow.
She also said that she was talking to the director of the orphanage and Nastya recieved innoculations this morning and so she will be staying at the orphanage tonight so they can monitor her.

We will be praying that all goes as planned this week in court. It would be great to go to Odessa and take Nastya with you to visit with Sergey..or are you allowed to take her?
Keep your chin up when things seem a little hard...it is all worth it!
God is in this with you!
Sandra
We are getting snow and blowing snow...looks bad from here at the church. Hope your weather is better.

Glad to hear that things are working out for a court date R&D. Will you have any more freedom with her after the court date? I well remember how terrified we were when Christina would have a screaming fit and we were in some of those non-soundproof apartments. We were scared the KGB (just kidding about KGB) would come arrest us for child abuse or something. Hang in there and keep exploring and enjoying that great country.

Got the pictures of Nastya today! Allison was excited to see her coat being used. The girls loved the cards and plan to take them to the neighbor across the street who is Ukranian for translation.

The girls are busy adding to the "Nastya boxes" in the basement. They are so anxious to see her!

Hopefully all goes smoothly on Wednesday and you can start planning your return trip. Hope you plan to stay a day or two; although I can imagine you're pretty anxious to get home.

Love you!
Laura
