We put some pictures of our home and family in a small Barbie photo album to share with the child we would adopt so she would be a bit familiar with the places and faces she would see when she gets home.
We gave the photo album to Anastacia when we first met her. She looked at all of the pictures with interest and gave them back to me. When I tried to show her again she didn't seem interested and said she had already seen them. I think she was a bit afraid of this new life she was approaching. The other day I put the photo album in her room and a couple of days later I noticed it was under her pillow( remember her place for special things) yeah. This morning she had the photo album packed in her school bag to show her friends.
Little by little she is getting ready to explore her new world.
I am also hoping that some of the other children may request to be adopted as they watch Ananstacia take that step. I'm not sure why she is the first from this orphanage, for some reason most of the children must not be registered at the adoption center. One little girl asked us the first day why we picked Nastya. Perhaps if they tell the director they want to be adopted, some will find families.

Debbie you bring tears to my eyes with the stories of her.I can't emagine how she feels and the feelings of the other children as well.Your letters each bring mixed emotion I enjoy them so.
